Post-War America is an intaglio monoprint and mixed media series mapping the places the United States has bombed, from the end of World War II through the the 2003 war in Iraq. The series began after browsing LIFE magazines from the era immediately following World War II. The shift from war production to consumer production was evident in the advertisements of the era. Images, graphics, and logos extracted from those pages are combined with maps and dates of the places America has bombed since that time, as well as with small fragments of collage text from contemporary newspapers and magazines.
